Amin Lakhani to head The Exchange In India
The re-calibrated structure at GroupM’s media agency Mindshare is finally in place with Amin Lakhani becoming the new group head of The Exchange in India.
R Gowthaman, managing director of Mindshare India, confirmed the appointment to Brand Equity. It was crucial for us to pick from within the organisation and Amin, who is a seasoned campaigner, was the right choice. He has our clients confidence and the right skill set to match The Exchanges philosophy that is to go beyond standard trading practices.
The vision is to move towards a non-transaction based model, to be a strategically value business and take our top 20 clients to the top of the value chain, he says.
Lakhanis new mandate as head of The Exchange cuts across clients, geographies and media and top on the agenda is to ensure the focus remains on the value equation, accountability and a system that increases efficiency.
This is just the beginning. Its not going to be a cake-walk but we are experimenting and growing. A successful model will pave the way for others, he said.
