UP Kabaddi League reaches 40 million viewers in Season 2

The AMA (Average Minute Audience), a key media metric used to measure audience engagement, stood at 90.8 for Season 2. In comparison, Season 1 of the franchise-based league had recorded a cumulative reach of 18.2 million and an AMA of 49. A total of 66 live matches were aired in Season 2 compared with 55 matches in Season 1.

UPKL is organised by SJ Uplift Kabaddi in association with the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi Association. The league focuses on strengthening grassroots-to-professional pathways through high-quality competitive kabaddi.
Season 2 also witnessed the addition of four new teams – Kanpur Warriors, Aligarh Tigers, Purvanchal Panthers and Gazab Ghaziabad – taking the total to 12 franchises. Actor Tusshar Kapoor joined as co-owner of the Gazab Ghaziabad franchise. Season 2 was held between December 25, 2025 and January 10, 2026, with Kashi Kings lifting the trophy.
