Mumbai: Entertainment Network India's (ENIL) audio-streaming platform Gaana and Fenix360, an artist-focused global social media and streaming platform, have teamed up to launch a new direct artist-fan ecosystem into the Gaana app, combining discovery, engagement and monetisation within the streaming experience.

The partnership, which was unveiled at an event in Mumbai, brings together Gaana's digital audio ecosystem and Fenix360's creator-focused platform designed to enable alternative revenue opportunities for artists. The two companies aim to create a direct relationship between artists and their audiences by bringing content, community and commerce together within one ecosystem.

ENIL CEO Yatish Mehrishi said music platforms need to evolve from places where people simply listen to music into ecosystems where artists and fans discover, engage and connect.

Allan Mark Klepfisz, founder, chairman and CEO of Fenix360, said the next opportunity is to transform what streaming can do for artists.

At the centre of the integration will be a native scrolling social feed within Gaana, enabling artists to share visual content around their work while allowing fans to discover, follow and engage with them without having to move across multiple platforms.

Through Fenix360's tools, the partnership will help artists build digital storefronts, offer physical and digital merchandise, sell tickets to live shows, host gated and paid live streams, and receive direct financial support from their fans.

Under Fenix360's monetisation model, artists can retain almost 70% of the revenue generated through its monetisation tools.

A dedicated artist app will also give creators access to multimedia upload tools, audience insights and community management capabilities, helping them better understand and engage their fanbase.
