Essar's Pune facility reaches highest ever production and sales

KOLKATA: Essar Steel’s pre-coated facility at Pune has achieved its highest ever production and sales in March 2016. While production went up by 117% to 59,579 tonne, sales at 60,079 tonne, went up by 112% over the previous year. Against this, Essar Steel had produced 27,442 tonne and sales amounted to 28,347 tonne during March 2015.

Essar Steel operates the largest pre-coated facility in the country world. During the month, the facility also registered significant a growth in Pickling, Rolling, Galvanizing & Colour Coating.

The production of 31,316 tonne of pre painted galvanized iron ( PPGI) is the highest for any steel manufacturer in India in a single location, Essar Steel said in a statement.
