Areva T&D bags Reliance Power contract
Areva T&D India Ltd today said it has bagged Rs 40 crore contract from Reliance Power for construction of a substation.
The turnkey contract involves design and construction of the substation including transformers, control, protection, monitoring systems and civil works of the plant, an official statement said.
Areva T&D India managing director Rathin Basu said, “Areva T&D India is proud to partner with Reliance Power in this prestigious project to offer its substation for India’s largest solar power plant.”
On June 7, 2010, the global activities of Areva T&D was acquired by a consortium of Alstom and Schneider Electric. Following this acquisition, high voltage transmission and power electronics activities were put under the control of Alstom and medium voltage activities under the control of Schneider Electric.
