HUL denies reports on CFO Ritesh Tiwari’s exit to global role

Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) on Thursday said that Ritesh Tiwari continues to serve as Executive Director, Finance, IT & Chief Financial Officer, countering recent media reports that suggested his likely movement to a global role.

In a regulatory filing under SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR), the company said, “Mr. Ritesh Tiwari continues to be the Executive Director, Finance, IT & Chief Financial Officer of the Company.”

The clarification comes amid reports indicating possible leadership changes at the company, a day after the FMCG giant appointed Priya Nair as CEO.


“At HUL, we consistently nurture talent and groom leaders as part of our ongoing talent development process,” the company said.

Ritesh Tiwari is a global finance professional with over two decades of experience across India, the UK, and Asia. Since joining Unilever in 1999, he has led several high-impact roles including Global Category Finance Director, Group Financial Controller at HUL, and Vice President - Finance for Unilever’s Global Supply Chain and Performance Management.

He is a Chartered Accountant and also serves on various industry platforms including the CFO Council of FICCI and SEBI’s ESG Advisory Committee.

HUL, on Thursday, announced Rohit Jawa's resignation and decision to appoint Priya Nair as its CEO.

Shares of Dove soap maker closed 4.6% higher on Friday on the back of Nair's "strong track record".
