The jewellery-to-eyewear conglomerate added 78 stores on a net basis in the quarter, taking its combined consumer network to 3,758 stores as of September. Domestic businesses grew 22%, while international operations, including Damas, surged 97%.
Jewellery, Titan's largest business, grew about 21% in the quarter. Studded jewellery sales rose in the early thirties, while plain gold jewellery grew around 20%. The company said consumer demand remained healthy for most of the quarter, supported by its 'Festival of Diamonds' campaign and brand-level promotions, before softening towards the end of the third quarter.
Buyer growth across the jewellery portfolio was in the mid-single digits, while average ticket sizes increased in double digits, pointing to continued premiumisation. However, investment-led coin demand declined in the high single digits from a high base.
Titan added 42 jewellery stores, taking the network to 1,269. Tanishq, Mia, Zoya and beYon together grew 20%, while CaratLane posted a 32% growth.
