TechnoSport launched the warehouse as part of a strategic expansion that will increase controlled warehousing capacity by 130% and help its retail and D2C growth plans, the company said in a statement. Strategically located, the warehouse in Bengaluru's Baglur will ramp up the company's access to South India while acting as a feeder for national distribution, it added.
The location allows connectivity to Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and western India.
"The Baglur warehouse is a strategic milestone, reinforcing a national supply chain that integrates manufacturing, logistics, and technology at scale. It enables us to deliver with speed, maintain consistent availability, and elevate the customer experience across retail and D2C channels, fortifying TechnoSport’s leadership and operational foundation as we continue to grow nationwide,” Puspen Maity, CEO, TechnoSport, said.
India's activewear market has evolved from a niche fitness category into one of the country's fastest-growing apparel segments, as consumers increasingly wear performance clothing beyond gyms and sports arenas. Demand is being driven by rising health awareness, the mainstreaming of athleisure, expanding e-commerce and premiumisation, prompting both global giants and homegrown brands to accelerate investments in manufacturing, retail networks and product innovation.
Euromonitor estimates India's sportswear market grew 11% by value in 2025 to about ₹82,410 crore and expects it to top ₹1.3 trillion by 2030.
The Baglur warehouse stores 1.8 million products and processes up to one million units every month. Capacity can be expanded to two million, while the underlying infrastructure is built to support as many as 3 million units, keeping pace with the company's retail and omnichannel growth ambitions.
"As our retail footprint and omnichannel presence continue to expand, this facility strengthens our ability to manage inventory efficiently, improve replenishment cycles, and ensure faster deliveries across key markets," Sachin Tandon, Chief Planning and Supply Chain Officer, TechnoSport, said.
Sandeep Jhunjhunwala, Director of HRM & Modern Trade at TechnoSport, said supply chain excellence had become one of the biggest competitive advantages in modern retail. As consumer expectations continued to evolve, brands needed distribution networks that were faster, smarter and built to scale, he said.
