New marketing strategy to increase sales of coir products

During 2012-13, the sales turnover of coir products from the board showroom and sales depot was about Rs 21 crore.
As part of the scheme, stockists would be appointed in each zone. The first stockist was appointed today and an MOU in this regard signed.
Around 500 stockists are expected to be appointed throughout the country.
As per the new strategy, coir and coir products would be displayed in small shops and furniture shops also.
