HUL launches premium variant Pureit Marvella at Rs 13,500

Consumer goods major Hindustan Unilever on Monday entered the premium water purification segment with the launch of Pureit Marvella.

MUMBAI: Consumer goods major Hindustan Unilever on Monday entered the premium water purification segment with the launch of Pureit Marvella.

Pureit Marvella RO comes loaded with more features and meets the stringent germ-kill criteria of the American EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), the company claimed in a release here and is priced at Rs 13,500.

"Since its national launch in 2008, Pureit has been adopted by over 4.5 million households. Pureit does not need electricity or continuous water supply and is the country's first fully-automatic water purifier- Marvella OGT and now Pureit Marvella, which converts hardwater of up to 2,000 PPM into soft water," Hindustan Unilever General Manager, Water Business, Vikram Surendran said.

The company has roped in Bollywood actors Farhan Akhtar and Prachi Desai to endorse the product. Pureit has a wide range with Compact priced at Rs 1,000 and Marvella at Rs 6,900.

The water purifier market is estimated to be Rs 1,500 crore.
