Godrej, BSH group to develop a new range of refrigerators

NEW DELHI: Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company and Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances ( BSH) Group have collaborated to develop a new range of refrigerators for various markets, including India.

The companies have inked a technology collaboration to develop a new range of refrigerators for India, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, the companies today said in a joint statement.

"The collaboration brings together Godrej Appliance's expertise in developing advanced, energy-efficient green technologies and BSH's global experience and technological expertise in the appliance sector," they added.

The new range of refrigerators would be manufactured at Godrej's manufacturing plant at Shirwal near Pune, they added.

The refrigerator range manufactured under this collaboration will be marketed by Godrej and BSH under their respective brands' name in India, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, the companies said.

"Our collaboration with BSH is another step to ensure that the consumers around the world benefit from the expertise of two of the world's finest organisations," Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Company CMD Jamshyd N Godrej said.

Commenting on the cooperation, Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group CEO Kurt-Ludwig Gutberlet said the collaboration with Godrej is evidence of the company's long-term commitment to India.
