Sensex ends 80 pts lower; Nifty slips below 8,900
The Nifty50 index closed 42 points lower or 0.48 per cent at 8896. The S&P BSE Sensex ended 80 points down at 28,812, weighed down by losses in Axis Bank, Power Grid, Bharti Airtel, and ICICI Bank.
