SC cracks whip on withdrawal of open offers

Supreme Court (SC) has ruled in the favour of Sebi in open offer withdrawal case and has barred withdrawal of open offers by companies for ‘uneconomical reasons’. SC observed that there is no difference between voluntary and mandatory open offers, and also delay on part of SEBI is no ground for withdrawal of open offers.
