RS passes Coal Bill; FM terms Budget session fruitful

Apart from the contentious Mines and Minerals Bill, the Rajya Sabha also passed the Coal Bill. ‎The government will not do allocations now, only auction route will take place, said Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Calling the day historic, Jaitley said the current Parliament session was a satisfactory one with the passage of “three major pieces of legislation in the Budget session”, including one on insurance.
