Oil ministry to take shale gas policy to cabinet within a week
Indian policymakers are considering exploring shale gas to meet energy security goals and hence, the shale gas policy will be placed before cabinet within a week. Shale gas exploration is only allowed in a phased manner and nominated blocks of ONGC, OIL to test shale potential first.
