June IIP at 3.4% vs 4.7% in May
India's June industrial production grew a slower-than-expected 3.4 percent year-on-year. Consumer price inflation accelerated to a two-month high of 7.96 percent in July, driven up by surging prices for vegetables, fruit and milk, government data showed.
