January IIP at 0.1 %; April-January IIP at 0%

The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) grew for the first time in four months in January, posting annual growth of 0.1 per cent. The IIP for the time period from April 2013 to January 2014, now stands at 0% versus 1% Year-on-year. The consumer durables section posted a contraction of (-)8.3% versus (-)16.2% in December. The non-durables growth was reported at at 4.4% versus 1.6% in December.
