Health Ministry sticks to proposal banning sale of loose cigarettes
Despite criticisms from many quarters, the Health Ministry has circulated a draft proposal banning sale of loose cigarettes. Loose cigarettes make up about 70% of sales in India. The ministry also proposes a minimum age of 21 to buy cigarettes.
