Govt mulls Swachch Bharat levy on telcos' airwaves usage fees
The Cabinet has asked the telecom department to examine if it can impose a cess on the annual spectrum usage charge (SUC) that telcos pay for the Swachch Bharat campaign, a move which could increase outgo of carriers already saddled with large debt and looking at potentially bruising auctions in February.
