December trade deficit down 44% ro $9.43 billion
As per the Commerce Ministry, trade deficit for the month of December 2014 stood at $9.4 billion against $16.8 in the previous month. The shrinking of trade deficit is mainly on account of lower crude prices as well as due to reduction in gold imports.
