Chanda Kochhar, Ginni Rometty to discuss on elevating female talent to help India Inc grow & innovate

The tech industry has often been under fire for its skewed gender ratios and unequal pay levels for men and women. Various studies and reports have suggested that women are a marginalised component of the tech workforce. IBM chairman Ginni Rometty proved an exception to this rule when she became the first woman to lead the global tech giant.

Aptly, on her visit to India next week, Rometty, along with members of IBM’s global senior leadership team will host a conversation around advancing women’s leadership in the country. On the agenda is a conversation between Rometty and one of the most powerful women leaders in India, ICICI Bank MD Chanda Kochhar. Senior female leaders from across industries are expected to be present at the event as well.

The event is supposed to “convene key stakeholders from business, government and civil society to exchange ideas, insights and experiences on elevating female talent to help Indian organisations grow and innovate”.
