According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai earned Rs 7.50 crore net in India on its first day. The film recorded these numbers across 9,081 shows nationwide. Its India gross collection is estimated to be around Rs 9 crore, while overseas markets contributed another Rs 2 crore, taking the film's worldwide gross total to approximately Rs 11 crore. The opening figures suggest a slower start than expected for a film headlined by Varun Dhawan and directed by veteran filmmaker David Dhawan. The release carries added significance, as it is widely reported to be David Dhawan's final directorial venture. His reunion with son Varun Dhawan generated considerable curiosity among fans, making the film one of the notable releases of the season.
