West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari is trimming his convoy size
Kolkata: Following the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari has decided to reduce the number of vehicles in his convoy. Oaths of MLAs were administered at the West Bengal assembly on Wednesday.

"Offering my prayers to BR Ambedkar statue, I am starting my journey," Adhikari said as he entered the assembly today.

According to sources, the necessary instructions have already been issued to the concerned authorities in this connection.

Only the required number of vehicles needed for security purposes will now be allowed in the convoy. Unnecessary vehicles will no longer be included.

Sources said that this move was prompted after the Prime Minister’s message to reduce the excessive number of vehicles in VVIP convoys.

The new directive is likely to come into effect from today itself, sources said.
