Assembly Elections in Tamil Nadu are scheduled to be held on April 23, 2026. The 'Chennai Super-6' initiatives are launched with the aim of transforming the capital into a world-class city.

DMK Chennai manifesto includes:
- Enhanced Community Spaces:

The party has vowed to launch complete streets by 2029 with wide pedestrian pavements, a shady tree canopy and accessible toilet facilities.

Earlier on Saturday, M K Stalin warned that Tamil Nadu's progress will be affected if people vote for the NDA alliance in the upcoming Assembly elections.
"The AIADMK and BJP have crippled this region's industrial growth. Votes cast for NDA will become a stumbling block to Tamil Nadu's progress and people must realise this," he said in a poll rally in Tiruppur.
