During a rally in Debra in Paschim Medinipur district, Shah targeted Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek, claiming that dynastic politics reigns in the state. He contrasted this with BJP's promises of job creation, welfare programs, and a strong law-and-order approach. Shah also took part in a roadshow to support BJP candidate Dilip Ghosh.
He claimed Banerjee's sole objective is "to make her nephew the CM," while Prime Minister Narendra Modi's focus is on providing jobs for Bengal's youth and work for the state's development.
Earlier in the day, Shah launched the party's manifesto in Kolkata, where he attacked the Trinamool government over issues such as illegal infiltration, corruption, job scams, syndicate raj, and women's safety. The promise of implementing a Uniform Civil Code, which Shah highlighted during the manifesto launch in Kolkata, is aimed at consolidating Hindu support as the Trinamool Congress seeks to strengthen its Muslim vote bank.
