Kolkata: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday claimed that CM Mamata Banerjee's poll campaign agenda was weak, which was possibly the reason why she has been relying on trivial issues to hit out at BJP. He was referring to her statements that BJP will prevent people from eating non-veg food if voted to power.

Pradhan said he had a sumptuous meal of fish despite being a BJP leader himself. "This time, Mamata Banerjee has no issues. There is no employment for the youth, women have no safety and security, government employees don't have Seventh Pay Commission," he said. Pradhan and former BJP West Bengal president Dilip Ghosh accompanied Nandigram MLA Suvendu Adhikari in a roadshow before he filed his nomination. Adhikari is contesting from Nandigram for the second time. He had defeated Banerjee in the 2021 polls from Nandigram. He is also contesting from Bhabanipur against Banerjee.
