Lilliput compares Shah Rukh Khan with Aamir Khan
Lilliput, who has been active in the entertainment industry since 1985, spoke about SRK during a conversation with Siddharth Kannan. The 75-year-old actor discussed several topics, including King Khan's performance in the film Zero, where the superstar portrayed a man with dwarfism.During the interview, Lilliput admitted that he did not particularly enjoy Zero. According to him, the film’s concept felt confusing and he struggled to understand what the writer was trying to convey through the story. He suggested that the idea of using visual tricks to portray the character might have overshadowed the film’s narrative, which made it harder for audiences to connect with the message.
The veteran actor also expressed the opinion that roles involving dwarfism should ideally be portrayed by actors who actually have the condition. In his view, casting a regular-height actor for such a role may not always be the best creative choice. However, despite his criticism of the film’s concept, Lilliput acknowledged that Shah Rukh Khan worked extremely hard to bring the character to life and gave his best effort to make the role convincing.
During the conversation, Lilliput also addressed his earlier remark about Shah Rukh Khan’s choice of scripts. When the host mentioned that he had previously commented on SRK selecting weak scripts in films like Zero and Jawan, the actor said his opinion still stands.
Interestingly, Lilliput also shared his perspective on how Shah Rukh Khan achieved such immense stardom despite these criticisms. He pointed out that, "If you look at his films, most of them are films made by outside banners, like Yash Raj Films and others. By ‘outside’, I mean films that are not his own home production where he himself is the producer. When he works as a producer, the writer and director sometimes compromise. They might say yes to things easily."
On SRK's upcoming project

The superstar is currently working on the action thriller King, alongside Deepika Padukone which is being directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film also features Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan in key roles and is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24, 2026.Following the massive success of his 2023 blockbusters Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan remains one of the most active and influential figures in the industry.
