Shah Rukh Khan is the undisputed king of Bollywood. The actor is currently shooting for his much-awaited movie King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film features Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Deepika Padukone and more in key roles. King is scheduled to release this year on December 24, the best way to celebrate Christmas. Amid this, Shah Rukh recently talked about his close bond with his three children - Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. He also shared how they play a big role in his life.

Shah Rukh Khan calls the kids his 'biggest critics'

In a recent interview with a media portal, King Khan shared that the COVID-19 pandemic brought him closer to his kids. He found himself spending more uninterrupted time with his children. Though he has always been a hands-on father, this phase helped him slow down and truly cherish his family.

Speaking to SCREEN, he said, “My children are my best critics! My family is my North Star who keeps me grounded and reminds me of what truly matters, no matter how busy life becomes.” He added, “Legacy isn’t solely defined by professional achievements, but by the values and memories I share with my family. Balancing both comes down to being fully present. While I pursue my passions and work, I never lose sight of the simple joys of being a father.”

Shah Rukh Khan is incredibly proud of them and shared how they have opened his eyes to new perspectives while working with them in different projects. In Jon Favreau’s 2019 remake of the Disney classic, Shah Rukh lent his voice to Mufasa, while Aryan made his voice acting debut as Simba. As his children grew up, the film became a regular part of their family movie nights, and sharing that experience with them turned into one of his most cherished memories. That bond grew even stronger when his younger son, AbRam Khan, later voiced young Mufasa in Mufasa: The Lion King, directed by Barry Jenkins.

Two values SRK wants in his kids

He admitted that seeing them so confident in the recording studio pleasantly surprised him. Years later, Aryan went on to make his directorial debut B***ds of Bollywood, while Suhana prepares to share screen space with her father in an upcoming film King. Shah Rukh says seeing his children explore their passions with confidence makes him grateful for the journey they have shared together.

And when it comes to the lessons he wants to pass on to Aryan, Suhana and AbRam, they have nothing to do with wealth or fame. Instead, he speaks about unconditional love and freedom. He has shared, in the interview, that his father never hesitated to express affection, and that is something he wants his own children to always feel. At the same time, he believes in guiding them while giving them the space to choose their own paths and grow into individuals on their own terms.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is filming for King.
