Border 2 box office collection day-wise
The film witnessed its biggest surge in numbers on Monday, which coincided with Republic Day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Border 2 earned an impressive Rs 63.5 crore on its first Monday. This massive holiday boost pushed the film’s domestic net collection to around Rs 193 crore. The makers, T-Series, also stated that the worldwide box office collection has touched Rs 250 crore, underlining the film’s strong global appeal. However, Day 5 marked the first real test for the film at the box office. With the holiday period ending, Border 2 saw a noticeable drop in earnings on Tuesday, which was its first regular working day. Early estimates suggest the film collected approximately Rs 19.5 crore on Day 5. While this is a sharp fall compared to the Rs 59 crore it earned on Republic Day, trade experts note that such a dip is common once the holiday advantage fades.
Despite the decline, Monday proved to be a landmark day for the film. The Republic Day collection not only became Border 2’s highest single-day earning so far but also placed it among the biggest Republic Day box office performers in recent years.
Looking at the film’s overall week-one performance, Border 2 started its theatrical run on a strong note with Rs 30 crore on Friday. The upward trend continued over the weekend, with the film earning around Rs 36.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 54 crore on Sunday. After adding Tuesday’s numbers, the total net domestic collection stands at approximately Rs 196.50 crore, bringing it within touching distance of the Rs 200 crore milestone.
