With assembly elections approaching, LJP (Ram Vilas) has signaled its intent to negotiate hard within NDA. Party MP Arun Bharti, seen as Chirag Paswan's voice, posted on X that while LJP remains in the NDA, it "carries an independent identity" and must not be seen as operating under any bigger party's shadow.

The move is being seen as early posturing to secure a stronger seat share in the alliance. Just a day earlier, Chirag told media that seat-sharing talks will only be discussed at the appropriate time and announced jointly.

Bharti's post emphasized that Chirag's appeal extends beyond the Paswan community, particularly among women and youth, and that LJP's image should reflect that broader base.

Chirag also met Bihar CM Nitish Kumar recently, affirming that there's "no vacancy" for the top post in NDA, signalling cohesion for now. NDA insiders believe such statements will continue as parties jockey for space ahead of the polls.
