OYO's Ritesh Agarwal shares why he carries 3 phones, including an iPhone 7 – Watch the Shark reveal the reason

OYO founder and CEO Ritesh Agarwal recently gave a glimpse into what he carries in his backpack. In a video shared during a break while filming Shark Tank India, the 31-year-old entrepreneur showed his audience the everyday items he keeps with him while on the move.

What’s inside Ritesh Agarwal's bag?

The backpack, according to Agarwal, is a gift from his wife. He told viewers, “It’s neither aesthetic nor aspirational.” He described the contents as practical, reflecting his work routine and travel needs.

He carries three smartphones. The first is his primary phone, which he uses for daily work calls. The second has a United States number. “It’s for a lot of our US hotel owners and customers,” he explained.


The third phone is an older iPhone model that Agarwal said he still carries because it contains important data. “This phone is probably an iPhone 7 or 8. Something very ancient. I’ve had this phone forever. The issue is that I’ve never been able to – or I’ve never gotten the time to – port all my old data. And hence I just carry it around,” Agarwal told his viewers.

Passports, laptop, and more

As someone who travels often for work, Agarwal keeps his passport in the bag. In fact, he carries four full passports with him.

His backpack also contains a MacBook laptop, a bottle of protein water, and dental floss. Agarwal mentioned that he finds it difficult to meet his daily protein needs as a vegetarian, and protein water helps him manage that.

On Instagram, Agarwal shared a short clip from the longer video, writing: “Bag reveal, but make it mildly existential. I finally did it. It’s neither aesthetic nor aspirational. But somewhere between practical and borderline ridiculous.”

Agarwal has been regularly sharing personal updates on social media in recent months. Earlier, he posted about attending the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj with his son Aryan. In that post, he reflected on visiting the same holy site over 20 years ago as a child and spoke about passing on the experience to his son.
