You Can See Everything trailer out: Know all about Elizabeth Holmes and Nathan Fielder before watching the doc

A24 has released a new trailer for You Can See Everything, a highly-anticipated documentary about the disgraced former entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes. The 3-hour doc, which has been directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, follows the Theranos founder during her final days of freedom and first few weeks of imprisonment.

The trailer shows Fielder, a comedian-filmmaker, moving in with Holmes to document her life and present her side of the story. Holmes, on the other hand, uses the film to profess her innocence. At one point, Fielder asks her: "You really feel you did nothing wrong?" as Holmes replies: "I did not."

When will the film be released?

The film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado on September 6, and a short teaser was revealed a few weeks ago. The movie is set to be released in theaters across the United States on October 16.

Who is Elizabeth Holmes?

Elizabeth Holmes is a former entrepreneur who founded the biotechnology startup Theranos after leaving Stanford University at the age of 19. Theranos claimed that it had developed pioneering technology that could run hundreds of medical tests using only a few drops of blood from a finger prick.

At one point, Holmes' stake in Theranos was valued over $4 billion, according to the US Justice Department, making her one of the world's youngest self-made female billionaires on paper.

But Theranos' technology did not perform as advertised. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) alleges that Holmes and Theranos raised hundreds of millions of dollars from investors by making false or exaggerated claims about the company's technology and finances.

In 2022, a federal jury convicted Elizabeth Holmes of wire fraud. She is currently serving a 11-year sentence at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas.

A brief about Nathan Fielder

The new trailer also throws spotlight on Fielder, a comedian and director known for his distinctive style of filmmaking. He is best known for creating and starring in the comedy shows Nathan for You and The Rehearsal.

Fielder is credited with blending reality television, documentary filmmaking, and deadpan comedy in his works. He has also co-created, written, and appeared in the satirical black comedy thriller The Curse.
