Watch: Alaska Airlines removes passenger for preaching in aisle; evangelist calls it 'spiritual warfare'

Whitney Lynn, a Florida evangelist, producer, and singer-songwriter, has been barred from flying with Alaska Airlines after she was removed from one of the carrier's flights, an incident that she says stemmed from openly sharing her Christian faith onboard.

Videos posted by Lynn on TikTok and Instagram capture the moments after airline staff asked her to leave the aircraft. In the footage, she argues with crew members, insisting that "demons don't like the name of Jesus," while also asking one of the employees escorting her off the plane whether he is from Puerto Rico because she "can't really understand" what he is saying.

Before exiting the aircraft, Lynn addresses fellow passengers, saying, "God bless everybody, if you know Jesus today, make him lord of your life and continue to spread the gospel. We are in the last days. We are being persecuted, persecuted to be a Christian."


The incident followed Lynn's decision to preach from the aisle during the flight, which she later described as an act of faith and claimed led to what she called "spiritual warfare."

Responding to questions about the videos, Alaska Airlines told The Washington Post that the crew became concerned about the situation as it unfolded.

“The passenger was asked to deplane the aircraft for safety reasons,” the airline said in a statement. “For the foreseeable future, the guest will not be permitted to travel on our flights.”

According to Lynn, she had been traveling to California to attend the funeral of one of her followers. Although she said she initially managed to rebook her trip, she later received an email informing her that she would not be permitted to travel on Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines or Horizon Air while reports concerning her recent travel were under investigation.

Lynn said the airline issued her a flight credit, but she added that she has no way to use it because she is no longer allowed to fly with the carrier.
