Luka Doncic's ex-fiancée Anamaria Goltes reportedly seeks $40 million for herself, $10 million for their children in ongoing custody battle

For Luka Doncic, it initially appeared to be a positive turn in the ongoing custody dispute with ex-fiancee, but it has apparently taken another dramatic twist. Days after reports suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers star's ex-fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, had withdrawn her child support petition in the United States, TMZ Sports now reports that she has launched a new legal claim in Slovenia, seeking a settlement worth approximately $50 million while also asking the court to reduce Doncic's custody rights.

The latest development comes after a turbulent few months for Doncic both on and off the court. The reigning NBA scoring champion saw his season with the Los Angeles Lakers come to a disappointing end after a severe hamstring injury cut short what had been viewed as a strong MVP-caliber campaign and ended the team's hopes of a deep playoff run.

According to TMZ Sports, Goltes' new filing in Slovenia seeks around $40 million for herself, with the remaining $10 million believed to be intended for the couple's two daughters.


"Anamaria has filed a new claim in Slovenia ... and she is seeking $40 million for herself ... we assume the remaining $10 million is for their two daughters," TMZ reported, citing sources familiar with the case.

The outlet also reported that Goltes is seeking to reduce Doncic's custodial time with his children. According to TMZ's sources, the Lakers star currently spends at least two days each week with his daughters, but the new filing seeks to cut that to one day.

"Luka has said he'd do anything for his kids, so $10 mil may be realistic for them, but the $40 mil is a whole other story," TMZ quoted one source as saying.

The new legal action comes just days after TMZ reported that Goltes had withdrawn her child support petition in the United States, a move that had fueled speculation the former couple might be moving toward an amicable resolution.

The custody dispute has now moved to Slovenia, where Doncic and Goltes had once planned to begin their married life. The pair, who ended their engagement in March 2026 after nearly a decade together, are parents to two daughters, 2-year-old Gabriela and 7-month-old Olivia.

Reacting to the report, former NFL star Dez Bryant criticized what he viewed as the situation surrounding the custody dispute. "This feels like extortion at its finest…using his kids against him. That child is going to grow up realizing he/she were treated like a pawn… crazy," Bryant posted on X.



For Doncic, the off-court battle has unfolded alongside one of the most challenging periods of his professional career. The 27-year-old reportedly chose to skip Slovenia's national team commitments for the first time in his career as he focused on recovering from injury and spending time with his daughters in Ljubljana.

Financially, the reported demands are unlikely to affect Doncic's long-term earning power. The five-time All-Star is currently playing under a contract worth approximately $165 million for 3 years.
