Dancing With the Stars contestant Jackson Olson has finally broken his silence about a question that has been going on for quite some time keeping fans curious: Are his teeth real or fake? The Savannah Bananas baseball star, who is competing on Season 35 of the popular ABC dance competition, finally put an end to the growing speculation about his bright smile in a viral social media video. Olson confirmed that his teeth are not natural and revealed that he has veneers. But there is much more behind his smile than a cosmetic makeover. The 28-year-old explained that the dental work followed a frightening baseball accident in 2023, when he was struck in the face by a ball during a Savannah Bananas game. The impact broke his jaw and caused significant damage inside his mouth.

"No, they're not real," Olson shared the big update in a video on Instagram. "They're veneers, all of them."

Olson said that although he initially worried about his teeth immediately after the accident, the full extent of the damage became clearer later.

"Three years ago, during one of my games, I got hit in the face with a baseball and broke my jaw," he continued. "Thirty minutes later, I was in the hospital and realized my teeth were, in fact, not fine."

In August 2025, an Atlanta cosmetic dentist, who had seen Olson's content about the situation, contacted him.

"They did X-rays and told me even after getting surgery my teeth were at risk of dying," Olson shared. "Everything in my mouth had shifted and I had gaps everywhere because of the impact."

Olson's viral revelation has now given Dancing With the Stars viewers the story behind the star's famous smile. Instead of hiding what happened, the baseball player has openly discussed his painful ordeal.

His story has also struck a chord because of the positive way he has approached the setback. And now that the reason behind his smile is known, the Savannah Bananas player will now be able to concentrate once again on Dancing With the Stars with his professional dance partner Emma Slater.
