The Bengaluru-based company reported strong growth across its core businesses in the June quarter, led by its express delivery segment. Express revenue rose 87% YoY to Rs 997 crore, and hyperlocal (which powers quick commerce, food, and on-demand delivery) revenue grew 53% YoY to Rs 272 crore. Meanwhile, revenue from the SME and personal courier segment declined 22% to Rs 89 crore.
The company claims to have reached a market share of 28-30% over the last four years in the third-party logistics (3PL) sector. It serves 16,372 pincodes across the country and is adding 200-250 pincodes every month to reach full national coverage by FY28.
Shadowfax, which powers Amazon Now’s quick commerce logistics network, said in its investor presentation that it is bullish on quick commerce adoption. Its growth thesis for its hyperlocal logistics offering is driven by ‘rapid wallet share gains with Amazon Now’, ‘vertical quick commerce momentum’, and the fact that ‘ecommerce players entering quick commerce are choosing 3PL for significant share of volumes’.
As of 2:30 pm, Shadowfax stock rose 14% to Rs 251 on the National Stock Exchange on Friday.
