IRCTC launches 10-day all-inclusive Japan tour package from Delhi starting around Rs 3.46 lakh

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a 10-day escorted tour package to Japan, offering Indian travellers an all-inclusive holiday covering flights, accommodation, visa, meals and sightseeing. The tour will depart from Delhi on September 6, 2026, with prices starting at ₹3,45,999 per person on a triple-sharing basis.

The 9-night, 10-day itinerary covers some of Japan's most popular destinations, including Tokyo, Hakone, Hamamatsu, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Hiroshima. The package is designed to simplify international travel by bundling major travel expenses into a single booking.

What's included in the IRCTC Japan tour package?

The package includes return economy-class airfare from Delhi, accommodation in four-star hotels, Japan tourist visa charges, daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, airport transfers, sightseeing in an air-conditioned coach, services of an English-speaking tour guide and travel insurance for passengers below 70 years of age. All applicable taxes are also included.

The journey begins in Tokyo, where travellers will visit attractions such as Asakusa Temple, Nakamise Shopping Street, Ueno Park, Odaiba and an immersive digital art museum.

The itinerary includes an excursion to Mount Fuji's Fifth Station, subject to weather conditions. Travellers will also visit Owakudani Valley, ride the Hakone Ropeway and cruise across Lake Ashi aboard the Hakone Pirate Ship.

One of the highlights of the tour is a ride on Japan's Shinkansen bullet train, one of the world's fastest and most punctual rail networks.

In Kyoto, the tour focuses on Japan's cultural heritage through visits to historic temples and traditional neighbourhoods. The itinerary also includes Osaka, known for its food culture, Nara, famous for its free-roaming deer and ancient Buddhist temples, and Hiroshima, where travellers will visit the city's memorials and museums.

IRCTC Japan package price

The IRCTC Japan tour package starts at ₹3,45,999 per person on a triple-sharing basis. Travellers opting for twin-sharing accommodation will have to pay ₹3,49,999 per person.

Those choosing single occupancy will be charged ₹4,73,999 for the 10-day escorted tour.

For children aged 5-11 years, the package costs ₹2,92,499 with a bed, while the price is ₹2,63,999 without a bed.

The package combines airfare, hotels, visa, meals, transfers and guided sightseeing under a single booking, reducing the need for travellers to make separate arrangements. The escorted tour format also makes it suitable for first-time international travellers.

The tour will depart from Delhi on September 6 and conclude on September 15, covering many of Japan's major tourist attractions in a single itinerary.
