Saini criticised the AAP government over drugs while pledging farm welfare and urging youth to reject substance abuse.
Saini was addressing an event in Punjab's Kotkapura as part of the nationwide 'Nasha Mukta Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan', which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.

Exuding confidence that the BJP will form the government in Punjab after the Assembly polls scheduled for early next year, Saini said, "Under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, the BJP will work in Punjab just like in Haryana to make our farmers strong and prosperous."
Before the 2024 Haryana elections, the BJP had promised to procure all crops from farmers at MSP, which it fulfilled after retaining power in the state, Saini said.

"When we form our government here (in Punjab), we assure that we will procure all crops from farmers at MSP," Saini said, adding that the BJP will also replicate the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana in the state.
Under the scheme operational in Haryana since 2018, protected prices have been fixed for 21 horticultural crops.
Taking a dig at the AAP government in Punjab, Saini said it promised to eradicate the drug menace, but it has only "increased".
