RAMANATHAPURAM: Ex-servicemen, who were on poll security duty held demonstrations at various places in Tamil Nadu including here and Nagapattinam protesting against paying them Rs 200 only as wages.

In Thanjavur about 500 ex-servicemen blocked the road traffic as part of their protest.

They claimed that they were paid Rs 600 for poll duty during the assembly elections in 2009. They demanded Rs 1000 as wages.
