Assam Budget 2019-20: Thrust will be on middle class and poor: Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI: Assam finance minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that thrust of state budget for 2019-20 will be middle class and poor. He said that budget will come out new schemes on capital asset creation.

Sarma will present state budget in assembly on Wednesday. He said, “New schemes will be incorporated in the budget for middle class and poor.”

He added, “encompassing the temple, dargah, church and other religious sites a scheme “Assam Darshan” will be launched in the budget. This will include important geographical sites and places of religious importance.”
