Vedaant’s next Asian Games event is the men’s 200m freestyle heats, scheduled for the morning of September 23. The swimming programme begins at around 7:00 am IST, with the heats taking place at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre.

Vedaant’s Asian Games Debut In 4x200m Relay

Vedaant made his Asian Games debut on September 21 as part of India’s men’s 4x200m freestyle relay team.


The Indian team of Vedaant Madhavan, Sajan Prakash, Dhakshan Shashikumar and Aneesh Sunil Kumar Gowda clocked 7:24.32 and finished ninth in the heats. India therefore missed out on the final, with the top eight teams advancing.

Vedaant Has Two Individual Events Left

The relay was only the first of Vedaant’s three events at the Games. After the 200m freestyle on September 23, he is scheduled to compete in the men’s 200m backstroke on September 25.
