According to Mali’s post, his friend had been dealing with work-related stress for over six months and was looking for new opportunities. However, managing job applications and interview preparation alongside a demanding role became difficult.
Mali said the professional also faced challenges due to a two-month notice period, as many companies prefer candidates who can join immediately. Eventually, he decided to resign without having another job offer.
After leaving the job, he took a five-day break focused on spending time with his family and children, without work commitments or interview preparation.
Accepts lower CTC with work-from-home flexibility
Five days after resigning, the tech professional restarted his job search with a more structured approach. He updated his resume and began applying to companies based on his preferences.The professional accepted the offer after feeling the company was a good fit, according to Mali.
Mali clarified that the decision was not driven by dissatisfaction over salary and that the new job was not chosen because of a higher compensation package.
