The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the Class 12 supplementary examination results 2026 on its official website, cbse.gov.in, in August, as per a TOI report. The supplementary exam was conducted for students placed in the compartment category, providing them an opportunity to clear the board examination without losing an academic year.

More than 1.63 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 supplementary examination held on July 28 at centres across the country. The result will decide the final qualifying status of students who could not clear one subject in the main board examinations.

CBSE Class 12 supplementary result expected in August

The board has not announced an official date for the declaration of the Class 12 supplementary examination results. However, the results are expected to be released in August after the completion of the evaluation process.


Once declared, the result will be available online through the official CBSE result portal.

Supplementary exam conducted in multiple time slots

The Class 12 supplementary examination was held in a single shift, with timings assigned according to subjects.

Most major papers were conducted from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, while vocational subjects were scheduled from 10:50 am to 1:30 pm. Some skill-based and elective papers concluded earlier between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm.

Second chance for compartment students

The supplementary examination allows compartment candidates to improve their academic status and secure a pass certificate without waiting for the next annual board examination cycle.

Students who qualify through the supplementary exam can use their updated results for further academic admissions and verification purposes.

• Click on the link for Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) Supplementary Results 2026.
• Enter details such as Roll Number, School Number and Admit Card ID.
• Submit the required information to view the result.
• Download and save the scorecard for future reference.
