'Zero remorse. Zero accountability': Gabbard accuses Fauci of COVID cover-up, demands answers
Former Congresswoman and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has sharply criticised Dr Anthony Fauci following his Senate testimony, saying his "performance made me sick" and accusing him of showing "smug arrogance," "zero remorse," and "zero accountability." In a post on X, Gabbard claimed Fauci refused to answer key questions posed during the hearing. Gabbard also repeated allegations that U.S. taxpayer funds were used to support coronavirus-related research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and claimed there was an intelligence community cover-up. Fauci has previously denied allegations that he funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan or participated in any cover-up. The debate over COVID-19's origins and federal research funding continues to remain politically and scientifically contested.
