Kenneth Card shared his experience on TikTok and also issued a warning to other customers to check their orders. What is even more surprising is that he received sirloin instead of filet mignon on three separate visits to the restaurant in Forsyth, Illinois. His video has drawn more than 30,000 views.
What did Card say on his visit to Texas Roadhouse?
According to Fox News, Kenneth Card said he had been visiting the restaurant about once a week for more than a year and even knew the staff.“I know what types of meat I get whenever I receive it,” Card told Fox News Digital.

According to Card, the first time he noticed the issue, he informed the restaurant staff that he believed he had received the wrong steak. The staff then replaced it with a filet mignon.
During his next visit, however, Card said he ate the steak without raising a complaint. When he ordered filet mignon again on his third visit, he decided to speak to a manager about the problem.
“I was like, 'Look, this is the third time that y'all tried to sell me a sirloin or whatever else kind of steak it is besides a filet,'” Card recalled.
He said the restaurant took the steak away to got it checked and staff subsequently told him it was not the cut he had ordered. Card waited for a replacement, asked for it to be packed to go and later shared a video about his experience online.
Card asked the manager how he had received the wrong cut three times now, to which he claims the manager acted like he was crazy and told him that was impossible. He says that when he followed that up with the question of how it happened this time if it's impossible, the manager had no response.
“I just wanted to get the word out that, 'Hey, you're getting ripped off if you're ordering this and they're selling you this,'” he told Fox News Digital. As Card said at the end of his video, "Y'all be careful."

What is the price difference between sirloin and filet mignon?
At the Forsyth restaurant, an eight-ounce sirloin was listed at around $20, while the filet mignon cost approximately $30, according to the restaurant's website cited by Fox News.“[A filet] melts in your mouth. It's very tender,” he said, describing sirloin as “a little grittier, a little chewier.”
Texas Roadhouse acknowledged that it was aware of Card's video and said it had looked into his claims. However, the company did not confirm that the mistake had occurred on all three occasions he described.
A company spokesperson told Fox News Digital that it had “not been able to track that this occurred on three occasions,” but confirmed that one mix-up had been corrected at the restaurant.
The spokesperson added that management “quickly made it right” by providing Card with the filet mignon he had ordered.
The chain also said its team members double-check food for quality and accuracy as orders leave the kitchen. Customers who believe they have received the wrong food or have been charged incorrectly should alert their server while they are at the restaurant so staff can address the issue.
Despite the restaurant's response, Card said he did not expect to return to the Forsyth location.
“I think I'm done going in there,” he said. “I'll try somewhere else.”
