Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed faced a question about transgender rights and hormone treatment during a campaign event. After the moderator called on an audience member, the attendee asked El-Sayed how he planned to support the rights of transgender people taking hormones. El-Sayed responded: “Rights are rights are rights are rights.”
