'I don't trust Todd': Whitehouse slams Blanche over 'cover-up' of Epstein files at Senate hearing
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche's prospects for getting confirmed to his role permanently have turned brighter ahead of a key committee vote Aug. 4, but his pathway to approval from the full Senate isn't assured yet. On Tuesday, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse addressed Blanche's vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee, saying, "we are going to advance out of this committee probably the most discreditable person ever to seek the office of attorney general of the United States."
