'Austin deserves answers': City officials open investigation after ICE-involved shooting in Texas
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and wounded a man in Austin, Texas, on Sunday (Sept 20), city officials said, adding that the man was in serious but stable condition. The man was shot in the torso and taken to a local hospital, officials told reporters at a press conference. ICE, the US Department of Homeland Security and the Texas Department of Public Safety did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
