ADNOC confirms one of its vessels targeted by missile while sailing through Strait of Hormuz

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) said on Saturday that one of its vessels was hit by a missile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz in the early hours of August 8. Although no injuries were reported in the incident, and the situation has since been brought under control.

Earlier on Thursday, an oil tanker reported hearing explosions while transiting the Strait of Hormuz near Oman, according to a British maritime agency. The report came as Tehran and Muscat held talks on jointly managing the key waterway.
