Presley died on Sunday (September 20, 2026). In his report, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner indicated that he died in a rehabilitation facility. His autopsy was completed, but the official cause of death remains deferred.

His body was discovered near the bed, and sources told TMZ that his body was not on the bed. However, the exact location of the body was not clear at the time of filing of this report. The news outlet was further told that fentanyl did not come up in the investigation. Prior to his death, Presley suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday morning, and his death is being investigated as a suspected drug overdose. No foul play is suspected. A representative for Presley's family said that they are seeking privacy during this "very difficult and painful time."
